Asia Benedetto
Asia Benedetto is a multidisciplinary artist whose work fuses the intimate with the symbolic, tracing the emotional undercurrents of memory, ritual, and transformation. With roots in performance and sculpture, her evolving practice weaves together personal mythologies, poetic gesture, and material experimentation.
Working across drawing, installation, and textile-based media, Benedetto builds quiet, visceral worlds—spaces where fragility is strength and repetition becomes a kind of spellwork. Her pieces often emerge from process-based rituals: burning, stitching, layering, or erasing. What remains is a residue of presence—both hers and the viewer’s—hovering in the tension between exposure and concealment.
In Obscured Organisms, Benedetto turns her gaze inward, reimagining the body as a fragmented archive of feeling. She embraces organic decay, alchemical textures, and subtle distortion as ways of revealing how life marks us—how we carry the invisible. Her practice is less about rendering form than revealing sensation, offering moments of stillness where transformation can be felt before it’s understood.
