Reetika Mukherjee
Reetika Mukherjee (*2002 Kolkata, India) spent her formative years travelling, shifting through India’s diverse landscapes and different parts of the world. Her practice is influenced by her upbringing of storytelling and travel, emphasizing the relationship between memory, identity and exploring the fluidity of memory. It examines how the past persists and how materials can hold and transform the stories that shape our sense of self and the narratives we carry. She often explores this through morphed and obscure text and imagery, referring to a personal archive, collage, sound, and ceramics.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts with honours in Painting from Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda, India, in 2024, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Fine Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts. Over the past few years, she has exhibited her work in group exhibitions such as “Behind the Gloss” in FOMO Art Space, Zurich (2025), “AT THE PREMISES OF ENTERPRISE” in Enterprise, Zurich (2024), Nasreen Mohammedi Scholarship Display in MSU, Baroda (2022, 2023) and her artwork was also sold in the Winter Auction 2024, organised by ZHdK. was featured as an Artist of the week in The Curator Mag (2020). She was an illustrator for the book “The Life of Y” (2018, SAGE Publications; 2024, Penguin India) by Debashish Sengupta.
