Yuliya Matusevich collapses the line between what is seen and what is felt. Working at the intersection of analog film and digital distortion, she transforms photography into a vessel for emotional inquiry. Her images begin in the physical world but unravel into fragmented, reimagined terrains—mirroring the way perception fractures under memory, desire, and doubt.
By merging the tactile grain of film with the malleability of digital manipulation, Yuliya explores the instability of what we call “reality.” Her process resists documentation in favor of evocation, challenging viewers to reconsider how the external world reflects internal landscapes.
Obscyra becomes the perfect threshold for this work: a space where the real is no longer fixed, and where the image becomes a cipher for what cannot be neatly articulated. Here, perception is not passive—it is a haunting, a blur, a question.
